You ride in a trackless vehicle through a mix of physical sets and screens while dodging chefs, carts and flying food. It is playful, well-themed and easy for almost anyone to ride. The ride only lasts about five minutes, though, which matters when the standby wait starts pushing an hour.

Who Is It For?

Remy is one of EPCOT’s better family rides because it has no height requirement and works for kids, parents and grandparents. Young kids usually love the characters and oversized kitchen. Adults can still appreciate the ride system and theming, but this is not something an all adult party needs to build their entire day around.

Is Remy Worth It?

Yes, but not at any wait. Our data shows average waits for the last 90 days around 44 minutes in the morning, 52 minutes at midday and 58 minutes in the afternoon. Evening waits drop back to around 44 minutes. Early entry actually posts higher wait time than rope drop.

For families with young kids, that wait may still be worth it. For adults, I would have a harder time justifying nearly an hour for a five-minute ride. At 30 to 35 minutes, I am getting in line. At 55 minutes, I am getting food in France and pretending that was the plan. Let’s be real, I am getting a lightning lane.

Lightning Lane Strategy

Remy is a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction, so using it means giving up one of your most valuable advance selections. For families with young kids, that can be a good use of the pick. It avoids a long standby wait and guarantees that everyone can ride together. Our data shows Remy selling out on roughly 69% of observed days, so if you want it, book it when your Lightning Lane window opens or before 10am the day of if you like to gamble.

I would not leave it until later and hope for the best.

Best Time to Ride

Rope drop is the best standby option, especially if you are entering through International Gateway. From the main EPCOT entrance, France is a long walk. I would only make that trek first thing if Remy is a real priority. Midday and afternoon are the worst windows. Waits are highest, World Showcase is hot and nearly an hour is a bad trade for a five-minute ride. Evening is the best backup. If you are already eating or exploring near France, check the wait after 7 PM.

Crossing the whole park because the wait dropped from 55 minutes to 45 is not strategy. That is cardio.

How I’d Fit It Into My Day

With young kids, I would either rope drop Remy or use Lightning Lane. If I am entering through International Gateway, rope drop makes sense. If I am entering through the front of EPCOT, I would rather use Lightning Lane than start the day with a long walk to France. For an adults-only group, I would wait until evening, check Single Rider or skip it if the line stays ugly.

Bottom Line

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a fun family ride and one of EPCOT’s better options for groups with young children.

Use Lightning Lane if it matters to your group. Rope drop it if your entrance makes sense. Otherwise, try it in the evening.

Remy is worth riding.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a fun, no-height-limit trackless ride in EPCOT — here’s when to ride, whether Lightning Lane is worth it, and how to plan your day.

Is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure worth the wait at EPCOT?
