Stop Burning Lightning Lanes on Rides With Tiny Waits

Not every Disney ride needs a Lightning Lane. I know. Bold statement. Brave, even. But the data backs it up.

Some rides average under 15 minutes in standby, which means using a Lightning Lane on them can be like using a coupon for a single grape.

MouseQueue data shows these average standby waits:

Star Tours: 9.5 minutes
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor: 10.6 minutes
Mad Tea Party: 11.7 minutes
Mickey’s PhilharMagic: 11.8 minutes
Journey Into Imagination: 13.3 minutes
Tomorrowland Speedway: 14.5 minutes

That does not mean these are bad rides. It means you probably do not need to spend your best Lightning Lane energy on them. Save those picks for the rides that actually hurt.

The rides where the line wraps around the building and everyone starts pretending they are “just happy to be here.” You are not happy. You are dehydrated. Plan better.
