Over the past 90 days, Space Mountain has averaged about 38 minutes in the standby line. Waits are shortest first thing in the morning (8-10 AM), running around 32 minutes, and peak midday (11 AM-2 PM) at roughly 44 minutes. Space Mountain is also open during Early Entry, so resort guests can knock it out in the first 30 minutes with almost no wait. Otherwise, ride first thing in the morning (8-10 AM) or in the final hour before Magic Kingdom closes.

Space Mountain is a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction at Magic Kingdom. Since demand is moderate, it is usually not worth using one of your earliest selections here. Focus first on harder-to-get rides, then use Space Mountain later as a convenient filler pick if it fits your route through Tomorrowland. Most groups are fine riding it standby, especially first thing in the morning when waits are usually shortest.
